This service is perfect for clients with existing highlights who want to maintain their look without doing a full application every visit. It’s also great before a holiday, special occasion, or simply when your roots are showing and you want to feel refreshed.

Using Aveda’s professional colour range, we apply fine foils across the top and sides in a T-shaped pattern – blending seamlessly into your previous colour for a soft, natural result.

Appointments usually take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your hair type and finish. The service includes a consultation, foil placement through the T-section area, and a gentle cleanse and condition using Aveda’s nourishing haircare range. A Cut & Finish or Blowdry can be added for a complete refresh.

We recommend T-Section Highlights every 6 to 8 weeks as a maintenance option between half or full head highlight appointments. A toner or gloss can be added if your colour needs a tone boost or added shine.

I had a fantastic experience getting highlights and a haircut with Paige. I wanted to brighten up my grown-out hair with a very natural, sun-kissed look, and Paige completely understood my vision. She introduced me to a new technique that lifts color using a special toner instead of bleach, which sounded much gentler on curly hair which tends to be drier naturally. Paige took the time to thoroughly listen to what I wanted for both the color and the cut. She nailed the curly haircut I was hoping for and finished everything off with a beautiful blowout. The entire salon had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere‚ all the girls were absolutely lovely. I left feeling fresh, confident, and so happy with the results!

What are T-Section Highlights?

Are T-Section Highlights enough if I usually have a half head or full head?

They can be, if you mainly want to refresh your parting and face-framing pieces between bigger highlight appointments. If you wear your hair up often or want brightness through the back and underneath, a half or full head may suit you better.

How often should T-Section Highlights be maintained?

Many guests refresh a T-section every 6 to 10 weeks, depending on how fast their hair grows and how bright they like it. We will guide you based on your regrowth line and the tone you prefer.

Can T-Section Highlights cover grey hair?

They can help soften and blend grey around the parting and hairline, which is where it often shows first. If you need stronger grey coverage at the root, we may suggest combining highlights with a root colour in the same appointment plan.

Do I need a patch test before T-Section Highlights?

Yes, a patch test is required at least 48 hours before any colour service. If you are new to us or have not had colour for a while, we will arrange this with you before booking in.
