Our Root Colour & Go service is designed for busy clients who want their regrowth covered quickly and professionally, without the need for a full blowdry or styling finish. It's the ideal solution for keeping on top of your colour between full appointments – especially for those covering grey or maintaining an all-over shade.

We use Aveda’s high-performance permanent colour range, which delivers rich, long-lasting results while being kind to your hair and scalp. It’s gentle, effective, and gives a beautifully even result at the root area.

This express appointment focuses on colour application and care. After applying your colour and allowing it to process, we’ll shampoo and condition your hair using Aveda’s professional products – and then you’re free to leave and style your hair at home.

Appointments take around 45 to 60 minutes. Please note, this service does not include a blowdry or cut, which helps keep time (and cost) to a minimum.

To maintain a consistent look, we recommend booking this service every 4 to 6 weeks – especially if you regularly colour your roots.

I had a fantastic experience getting highlights and a haircut with Paige. I wanted to brighten up my grown-out hair with a very natural, sun-kissed look, and Paige completely understood my vision. She introduced me to a new technique that lifts color using a special toner instead of bleach, which sounded much gentler on curly hair which tends to be drier naturally. Paige took the time to thoroughly listen to what I wanted for both the color and the cut. She nailed the curly haircut I was hoping for and finished everything off with a beautiful blowout. The entire salon had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere‚ all the girls were absolutely lovely. I left feeling fresh, confident, and so happy with the results!

Will Root Colour and Go change my overall colour?

No, it’s intended to maintain your existing shade and coverage at the roots. If you want to go lighter, darker, or add dimension, we will recommend a different colour service.

Does Root Colour and Go include a blowdry?

It includes a quick dry-off finish so you leave looking tidy. If you would like a full blowdry and styling, book a root colour with blowdry instead.

Do I need a patch test for Root Colour and Go?

A skin test is required for colour services when appropriate, and it must be done in advance of your appointment. If you’re new to colour with us or it’s been a while, we will confirm what’s needed when you book.

How often should I book Root Colour and Go?

Most guests book when their regrowth becomes noticeable at the hairline and parting, often every 4 to 6 weeks. We can suggest a schedule based on your growth rate and grey coverage.
